Second Paper Assignment

As with the previous paper, your assignment is to do a comparison. You have two choices:
- Take one of the foreign films that we have seen during the latter five weeks of the quarter, and compare it to another, related film from the lists provided below.
- Choose two films from the list of American films of the 1970s provided below. In this case, you can choose any two of the films on the list, as long as at least one of them has not been seen in class.
The paper should be 5 pages long, double-spaced; it should discuss the formal structures and themes of the two films, as well as putting them in the historical context of Hollywood and/or worldwide filmmaking in the 1970s.
